Teknetics metal detectors engineered by the legendary George Payne in the 1980's. These metal detectors set the standards for performance in all categories of treasure hunting. The Mark 1 was the all time favorite and continues to have a strong following 30 years later. Teknetics went out of business and George Payne went on to design and build the highly acclaimed Treasure Baron CoinTrax series. The current company First Texas uses the Teknetics name to brand one of it's line of metal detectors in honor of George Payne.
